From Environmental Crisis to Collective Stewardship for Humankind:

Reframing climate and environmental issues as the need for system-wide transformation of our material, social and spiritual life.

Possible Guiding Questions:

路       What are the roots of the environmental crisis? Is this crisis limited to ecological and technical challenges - or part of a wider systemic crisis of overall humanity?

路       Can we improve the ecological impact of our material life and economy independent from changes in social justice, our definition of prosperity, and the relationship between the peoples in the world? How are they interrelated?

路       What are the catastrophes and signs of disintegration predicted in Baha'i scripture? How are they related to the disintegration we are witnessing today?

路       Can the disintegrating overall system become healed and turned around? How are our community development efforts related to this?

路       Are there common and shared pattern and dynamics behind the individual signs of disintegration we are seeing? How is everything related and part of an overall process building up over human history?

路       Are we as Baha'is observers standing outside the disintegration - or are we part of it? How are we connected to that overall system? How can we create healthy Baha'i-inspired communities - and at the same time be part of a disintegrating overall system?

路       Can we distinguish between a culture leading to disintegration and decay, and a culture that leads to cohesion and life? What are the values, objectives, ideas and behaviours in these different cultures?

Healthy Environments and Healthy Communities:

How efforts for healthy environments, efforts for Bahai-inspired community development, and efforts for transforming humanity can inspire each other and create synergy.

Possible Guiding Questions:

路       How can environment-related issues and efforts on the one hand and Bahai-inspired community development on the other hand inspire each other?

路       How can environment-inspired community development have an impact on the transformation of overall humanity?

路       How is the development of local communities related to the transformation of overall humanity?

路       How can we create resilient and healthy communities? What capabilities do we need to avoid the mistakes of a disintegrating world? What capabilities do we need to create and sustain healthy communities that lead humankind into the future?
