Global Compact for Migration

An Intergovernmental Conference was held on 10-11 December 2018 in Marrakech, Morocco where 164 UN Member States adopted the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. On 19 December, the United Nations General Assembly officially endorsed the Global Compact, described by UN chief António Guterres as a ā€œroadmap to prevent suffering and chaosā€.
