Discourse for Youth

Presentations on Issues
Relevant for Youth

Youth of today are deeply concerned and often anxious about the crises facing their world and the lack of evident solutions. The Sustainable Development Goals are far behind in implementation. We face existential crises in climate change, biodiversity and pollution. Our materialistic society denies any higher human purpose. The Bahá'í principles for the oneness of humanity, our higher human purpose, and the environmental, economic and social dimensions of sustainability, both individual and collective, can help to instill hope and inspire positive social action. Youth can be empowered to discourse with their fellow youth by understanding both the scientific nature of these challenges and the Bahá'í-inspired responses.

This page provides access to presentations in pdf on a range of issues that concern or trouble youth which can be studied in about a half hour. They may be useful in junior youth groups, youth discussions, classes and institutes. They briefly explain each issue and include relevant quotes from the Bahá'í writings, statements of the Bahá'í International Community, and other sources.
